Tonight from 6pm to 9pm downtown Old Greenwich will play host to the 12th annual First Light Festival. This is a wonderful event when the stores stay open, holiday carolers are out and you can even get a horse-drawn carriage ride. Santa (of course) will be out and you will be able to take advantage of face painting, hot chocolate, treats and wine tastings. The event is organized and put on by the Old Greenwich Merchants Association (a group of retailers working together to promote a community based retail environment for the village of Old Greenwich).
"Popular attractions at the First Light Festival are the horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday carols sung by The Accidentals from Trinity College, an all-male a cappella group, hot chocolate for the kids and wine tasting for the adults, and of course, Santa Claus. Many retailers also have special attractions, like face painting at Anna Banana by Hoagland's; a magician at Village Barbers; fun photos at Angela Moore and more."
