
Until January 2nd the Greenwich Arts Council will be running "AMERICANA: The Unexpected Side" - "a group exhibition of twelve artists, both well known and emerging, which takes a fresh look at recent art celebrating the American experience. Co-curated by three specialists in the field, Laura Cunningham, Dorianne Hutton Samuels, and Tatiana Mori, the show includes paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, and artifacts. All the works are related in various ways to the historical, geographical, and cultural heritage of the United States. Attitudes toward patriotism and nostalgia play defining roles in the exhibition's organization."
Gallery hours are: Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm;Sat-Sun, 12am-4pm. Admission is free. The Greenwich Arts Council is located at 299 Greenwich Avenue, in the old Town Hall Building.
