Is Long Island Sound safe or not?

I was hoping to brag here about how clean the sound is, but this article doesn't exactly tell us the student's conclusion.   "The Sound is very healthy, but there's a lot of dissolved oxygen in the water (that affects) the animals."  It would be nice of the Greenwich Times or whomever else is reporting on this... report to help us out here.  Maybe a little more detail will be provided tomorrow.  I'd love to explain to my family that there is nothing wrong with swimming in the sound.  For the full article click here.
