On Monday the Bruce Museum will be hosting its annual family event in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. The main performance will be the of "Struggle for Freedom" by the Young Audiences of Connecticut's Collective Consciousness Theater. "In it, nine courageous civil rights figures, including Dr. King, Rosa Parks and Thurgood Marshall, are profiled in stories that depict their backgrounds, what they fought for and the times in which they lived."The Performances are 45 minutes long and take place at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. The show is appropriate for grades 5 and up or with parent/guardian.The entire event will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free with Museum admission which is $6 and $7.
