Betteridge is one of those stores that have been in Greenwich since the beginning and therefore can host events like this without looking like they are just doing it for the publicity. Of course they want any advertising they can get, though it's not like they need it. Anyone who has lived here for a decent period of time knows all about it. There will be a lot of people in attendance that have no interest in actually buying an engagement ring, but are there for a little more history on the town. The store has been around since 1897 and has a lot of stories to tell. If you are interested in learning about some more Greenwich history you should check this out.
