My name is Bill Grad and as a resident of Greenwich (same house!) for over 31 years, I have partaken in many of the activities around town this summer. The wonderful activities and events that we have here in Greenwich for all interests and ages is such a large part of why my wife, Laura, and I love living here and why my kids, Ben and Kim and dog, Jake, loved growing up here. I am also a candidate for Greenwich 2011 Tax Collector so you will certainly see my campaign and me around town with "Bill Grad for Tax Collector" gear! Feel free to come up and introduce yourself if you see me around!

For years, my family and I have loved going to Todd's Point for beach, BBQs with friends and family, kayaking and walks around the point. In July, I was at Sandblast: sand sculpture building contest at Todd's Point - and saw some really creative art by all ages! A few weeks ago, on a steamy summer afternoon, my wife, Laura and I spent several hours cheering on many of the wiffle ball teams during the Greenwich Wiffle Ball Tournament. I was spotted eating lots of Garden Catering's fine cones and fries too - my favorite.
.
I also enjoyed the lobster dinner at the Chickahominy Reunion at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, as I visited with old friends and met new ones too. Just this week, Laura and I spent three fun summer evenings under the stars as part of the jubilant crowd at the St Roch's Fest. Just yesterday, we attended the Too Blue Blue Grass concert, sponsored by Friends of Greenwich Point. Though not outside as scheduled due to yesterday's rain, OGRCC was the home to the wonderful sounds of the this entertaining blue grass group.
.
This Thursday night, I'll be at the St. Catherine's Fair - and hoping they still have their famous fried dough. Stay tuned for my travels and hearing about more upcoming activities throughout our beautiful town this summer and fall. When the campaign season is in full swing after Labor Day, I hope to meet you at some of the upcoming town activities. Enjoy your week!
