THING 204: Yachts are in town and on showcase at the Delamar this weekend!

 Just add one more reason to live in Greenwich - Yachts!  On any given day on the harbor residents and visitors can view an array of beautiful sail boats and yachts that reside at the Delamar and Indian Harbor Yacht Club.  This upcoming weekend, September 9-11, Greenwich will hose the Harbor Yacht Showcase 2011.   This unique, semi-annual event offers buyers and dreamers alike the chance to see what's on offer from the world's finest shipyards and luxury retailers.What can visitor expect?Exhibitor profile includes brokers & charters, electronic & computer equipment, entertainment systems, equipment for sailing yachts, financial services, federations & associations, furniture & decorating objects, harbors & marinas, insurance, interior designers & naval architects, interior decoration & design, maritime consulting & management companies, press & media, shipyards, yacht club.Who can attend - all boating enthusiasts are welcome! The event is open to the public from 11-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.  Additionally, there is an opening reception on Friday the 9th, with an entrance fee of $75; however, you have access to the finest foods and wines Greenwich has to offer - and of course the company of the Greenwich community. The preview party takes place from 6pm - 8pm and benefits the Audobon  and its efforts to protect and restore the Long Island Sound.
